Joseph D. Morath, Jr. graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York College at Buffalo, where he maintained a 4.0 major grade point average. He is also a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, where he served as a Senior Member of both the Buffalo and Jessup Moot Court Boards. Mr. Morath was also the founder and president of the United States Armed Forces Law Student Association. Before attending college, Mr. Morath served four years on active duty as an Infantryman with the United States Marine Corps. Following the completion of his active duty service, he served three years as a Military Police Officer with the New York Army National Guard, including one year in support of Operation Joint Forge, Bosnia-Herzegovina. Mr. Morath is a Veteran Mentor at City of Buffalo Veteran’s Court, the first court of its kind in the nation. He also is Vice Chair of the Erie County Bar Association’s Committee on Veterans’ and Service-Members’ Legal Issues.
