John
T. Loss is a graduate of Canisius College, summa cum laude and
Cornell University Law School, magna cum laude. He served
as Managing Editor of the Cornell Law Review and authored "Criminals
Selling Their Stories: The First Amendment Requires Legislative
Reexamination," 72 Cornell Law Review 1331 (September 1987). His law school
grades placed him second in his class and he was the champion of Cornell's first
year Moot Court competition.
Mr.
Loss twice received the Corpus Juris Secundum Award, given by the Cornell Law
School Faculty to the law student who has made the most significant contribution
to legal scholarship; received the Kerr Memorial Prize, awarded by the Dean to a
third year law student who demonstrates general academic excellence; and was
selected for membership in the Order of the Coif. Mr. Loss served as a law clerk
to the Hon. Frank M. Johnson, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the
Eleventh Circuit.
